On April 24, 2008, STOLL BERNE filed a class action against Fidelity National Title Insurance Company alleging that consumers were charged title insurance premiums that exceeded the rates mandated by Oregon law.

Oregon law provides that the charge for a title insurance policy for a refinance that is issued within three years of a previously issued policy should be discounted by 25%. The Plaintiffs did not receive this discount.
